How to Get Started
The first step is to complete the open category A1/A3 theory course and exam. If you haven't done this yet, you can take both free of charge via the Norwegian Civil Aviation Authority's drone portal at flydrone.no. Before beginning your training with us, you must also register on the same portal—registration is free. We are happy to guide you through the process.
Advancing to STS Training
Once you've completed the A1/A3 requirements, the next step is enrolling in our online drone theory course for the specific category. This course is conducted through our online learning platform, allowing you to study at your own pace before attending the STS Remote Pilot Course.
Our online course includes multiple realistic exam questions designed to mirror the actual theory exam. By practicing with these, you will gain a solid understanding of the exam format and increase your chances of success on test day.
STS Remote Pilot Training Course
After completing the theoretical training, you will attend our STS remote pilot course in Drammen or Sykkylven. This comprehensive session combines both theoretical instruction and hands-on practice, ensuring you develop the knowledge and skills required for safe and compliant drone operations. You'll receive expert guidance from seasoned instructors, engage in in-depth discussions on operational scenarios, and gain real-world experience.
Taking the STS Exam
We recommend that you take the STS theory exam the day before attending the course. The exam is conducted at a Statens vegvesen (Norwegian Traffic Station). Upon passing the exam, you will receive official certification, confirming your competency as an STS remote pilot in accordance with EASA regulations.
Practical Accreditation
